Past Hunger Games - the 35th Hunger Games - abandoned city
The 35th Annual Hunger Games was set in a city that had been abandoned years before. Throughout the games the gamemakers continually collapsed buildings, forcing the tributes together to the city center. Near the end of the games, the victor, Beetee, managed to rig a trap that electrocuted the remaining tributes. 40 years later, at the age of 58, Beetee was reaped into the 3rd Quarter Quell.

Past Hunger Games - the 26th Hunger Games - ruins
The 26th Hunger Games were held in the ruins of an ancient castle and the surrounding hills. The cornucopia was at the highest point of the ruins, making for a sickening Bloodbath, during which many tributes were thrown from the walls. The career tributes dominated the area surrounding the cornucopia, giving them an advantage by being able to see everything happening below and around them. Axel Riggins, of District 6, managed to talk his way into being a part of the career alliance by offering his skills to set elaborate traps for any tributes who attempted to breach their territory. Axel’s traps were so good, however, that he was able to use them to kill all of the careers as well, leading to his victory. After the games, Axel became addicted to drugs as an escape from his memories. At the age of 65, Axel competed in the 3rd Quarter Quell, and died on the first day.
